According to an Access to Information Request (ATIP) obtained by CICNews, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will issue 30% of all Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in Express Entry draws throughout 2024 to candidates with strong French language proficiency. 

This shift towards category-based selection will prioritize French speakers over other applicants, marking a significant change in the Express Entry system.
